[ # ] Joe Canning scored 4 sideline cuts
March 3rd, 2008

Is it some kind of record for someone to knock over 4 sideline cuts in one game as Joe Canning did in the Fitzgibbon final on Saturday. Then add to that the one TJ Reid scored for WIT and you have 5 sidelines scored in one game. We’ve seen guys score 1 or 2 but I’ve never heard of 3, let alone 4, by 1 player.

You can see some of the action up on if you search for “fitzgibbon cup”. Here’s one of them and it has a Joe Canning sideline cut score around the 1:20 mark.

Yeah is obviously a bit early to start comparing him to other players but the skill he has shown so far marks him out as a potential great. we’ll know better at the end of this year afters he has played with the galway seniors
