[ # ] Damien Fox resigns from Laois
June 26th, 2008

Another inter county hurling manager bites the dust as Damien Fox resigns from Laois. He had enough of the poor turnout of players at training where numbers were as low as 3 one day so he handed in a written resignation to the county board. His selector and former county star Niall Rigney takes over along with Joe Dollard. They’ll have a tough job with their first game on Sunday week against the winners of Galway and Antrim, which no doubt will be Galway. After that it’ll then be a relegation battle to preserve their Liam McCarthy status.

2 out of 12 Liam McCarthy team managers gone before the end of June is fair going! One more and we’ll have a quarter of them gone. Who’s next?
