This popped into the inbox last night - apparently Galway based have a hurling helmet which has just gotten GAA endorsement. They’re only the second brand (after Mycro) to recieve the official endorsement.

After the shambles with the Lidl version earlier in the year it’s good to see another proper supplier and some choice in the market.

It’ll be interesting to see how this new rule about Helmets being compulsary is implemented. Can a Ref send you off?

I assume u won’t be able to start a match without a helmet. But yeah it’ll be hard to police fully. Guys often throw helmets off during matches, especially in hot weather.
And i’m sure there’s plenty of guys who just won’t wear one - can’t see how a ref will force them to.
