Fear of God Presents Its Seventh Collection Pre-Fall 2021 Collection

Following its ESSENTIALS Fall 2020 Loungewear delivery, Fear of God has returned to present the continuation and second part of the Seventh Collection. The latest range sees designer Jerry Lorenzo deliver timeless shapes and silhouettes inspired by late ’80s and early ’90s cinema. Opting for a lighter emotion, the collection features a color palette that plays perfectly with the lighter textiles used to illustrate expressions of everyday life.

Embodying the best of Italian and American craftsmanship, the outerwear found in the Seventh Collection is crafted of luxury leathers and suedes, and technical Japanese nylons. Heritage American workwear and performance-oriented sportswear, classic bombers and timeless carcoats, essential everyday jackets and heavy winter wear are reimagined with FoG’s distinct outlook with elevated details and understated finishes.

With denim already standing as a pillar of the brand, Lorenzo looked to tribute American heritage denim, with a new range of made in USA denim wear defined by inimitable vintage hand-washes and distressing that create a natural and authentically lived-in look and feel. Following the same handmade in USA quality, the sweat wear in the Seventh Collection presents a new investigation of American sportswear. Drawing from vintage collegiate and military sweats, styles are treated with sun-faded washes and marked with the latest variation of the FG logo in a classic military stencil typeface.

Marking the monumental centennial anniversary of the revolutionary professional baseball Negro Leagues, Jerry Lorenzo used his profound personal connection to America’s favorite pastime to create an important capsule in the collection. Comprised of sweatshirts, henleys and T-shirts, the entire selection is marked with The Negro League’s iconic graphics, reinvigorated for the 21st century and rendered in elegant, textured velvet flocking.

For Pre-Fall 2021, Fear of God is also introducing its Italian hand-knit line that elevates its classic line up of sweatshirts and hoodies. The cold-weather staples are rendered in luxurious Italian wools and cashmere that mark the union of function and fashion. Also tapping into Italy’s renowned tailors, the label has built out its tailoring line that uses innovative textiles sourced from the most reputable mills of Italy and England to craft effortless suiting that represents the peak of contemporary class.

Another first included in the Seventh Collection is Fear of God’s accessory range comprised of fundamental necessities like bags, belts and wallets. The pared-back offerings made in Italy are hand-stitched and finished with waxed suede, Nappa calf leather and technical nylon for everyday usage. Finally, Fear of God is continuing to expand its footwear offering beyond its signature sneakers and boots. Building on an examination of sophisticated styling are the espadrille, loafer and mule options made in Italy with hand-stitched Italian suede, Nappa leather, pony hair and French nubuck.
