I paid $80 for the viral dress from Kim Kardashian’s Skims expecting it to snatch me up so well – but was disappointed | The Sun
CURIOUS about the hype surrounding Skims, a woman bought one of their famed dresses in hopes it would do wonders for her body.
Skims customer Sofia Mannucci was left disappointed though when the dress didn't meet her expectations.
"First Skims item. Kim, I was expecting better. I can get this for $3o from somewhere else," Mannucci wrote in a TikTok video.
"I was hoping it was gonna snatch me up so well and make it look like I got surgery."
"Disappointed in u Kim," she added in the video's caption.
"Don’t get me wrong it looks good, but not $80 worth, super snatched good," she further clarified in the comments section of her post.

The dress in question is the viral Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress ($78) in the color heather gray that's been making the rounds on social media.
A viewer in the comments section of Mannucci's TikTok video understood exactly where Mannucci was coming from and shared their own experience.
They wrote: "How I feel [about] mine. I got the soft lounge dress one [though], maybe the fits everybody one is the snatcher."
Many people in the comments section of Mannucci's video believed that the woman looked amazing in the dress, despite it apparently not leaving her "snatched" as she'd hoped.

In response, Mannucci said: "But it’s $80, I can find a cheaper one that’ll look just as good."
Another person pointed out that the dress apparently isn't supposed to be considered shapewear, to which Mannucci said "yes this is true but I was hoping it would do a little bit more cinching at the waist anyway, it’s too expensive for what it is tbh."
