Ivanka and Jared first met when friends set them up for a possible business deal in 2005.

The couple briefly separated in 2008 but soon reconciled and tied the knot the following year.

Since then, they have had three children together, Arabella, nine, Joseph, six, and Theodore, four.

When Ivanka and Jared got engaged, she was given a glitzy diamond ring.

Previously launching her own line of diamond and gold jewellery pieces, it is no surprise Ivanka has a stand out jewel.

It features a central square diamond and cost up to £400,000, Tobias Kormind, managing director of 77Diamonds.com, explained.

He told Express.co.uk: “The ring is rumoured to be a 5.22 carat, D Flawless, cushion cut diamond on a diamond encrusted band which would be worth about £400,000.

“The couple married in 2009. It is thought to be designed by Ivanka but Jared chose the central diamond. She rarely wears it.”

At the beginning of their marriage, the former model would often be seen wearing the eye-catching rock.

Although Ivanka was reportedly involved in creating it, she rarely wears it now.

Tobias added: “Ivanka Trump’s engagement ring, which she received when she became engaged to Jared Kushner, has been conspicuous in its absence even for formal occasions all these years.”

This could be down to Donald Trump’s recent political role.

Donald was inaugurated as the 45th US President in 2017.

Since then, both Ivanka and her husband have taken on roles as senior political advisors.

The couple will often travel with Donald and accompany him during his campaigns.

Over the last few years, Ivanka has also attended events by herself representing the US President.

This role could be one of the main reasons she often leaves the ring at home.

“In recent years,” Tobias continued, “Ivanka may feel in international political environments it sends out the wrong message to wear large ostentatious pieces of jewellery which can be inappropriate when she is tackling socially sensitive issues such as women’s rights and inequality.

“Prior to their political exposure, the Trump’s were more ready to make grandiose public displays of wealth.”

The mother-of-three has cut back on wearing lavish jewels in general since Donald entered the White House.
