Kate Middleton wore a stunning green dress for the video call, perhaps a nod to the green lawns of Wimbledon. But on second look the dress has a cheeky message.

The dress is from a brand called HVN, and is the Maria belted printed silk crepe de chine midi dress.

The dress costs £665. On closer inspection fans will see a tennis print on the dress.

It shows men and women holding tennis rackets and playing the summer time sport.

HVN stands for Harley Viera-Newton, the designer behind the brand.

Kate’s hair was scraped back in a pony tail and she wore dangling gold earrings.

In the sweet video Andy Murray gave children tennis advice.

He said: “The most important thing is to have fun.

“If you’re enjoying it, you get more out of your lessons and your practising. Listen to your coach, that’s very important. That’s the two most important things at your age.”

The video was posted to Instagram with the caption: “To mark what would have been the start of finals weekend of the famous @Wimbledon Championships, The Duchess of Cambridge (Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club) was joined by surprise guest Sir Andy Murray, as she spoke to young tennis players from Bond Primary School in South London.

“The former Wimbledon Champion shared his experiences of playing tennis growing up, some vital tips to better their game, and how he’s managed training over the last few months.”

Fans commented on the post with gushing praise.

“Fab video so up lifting to see our incredible Duchess,” one said.

Another wrote: “She has a calming vibe, makes it fun to see her.”

It’s not the first time Kate as dressed with a clever nod to the occasion.

On Sunday Kate Middleton’s dress was blue, in tribute to the NHS. 

Kate and William paid a visit to a hospital to share their gratitude to the NHS.

Kate’s Shalini Micro Geo Midi dress costs £525, and features a collared style with a fitted waist and white cuffs.

Kate is known for dressing diplomatically in this manner.

In a video with Canadian health workers Kate Middleton’s dress perfectly suited the conversation. 

She wore a dress in a red and white, the colours of the Canadian flag.

The tweed shift dress has a fitted shape and jewel neckline.
