Princess Beatrice engagement ring: How many carats is Princess Beatrice’s engagement ring?
Princess Beatrice of York got engaged last year and was meant to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29 at St James’s Palace. A new date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the earliest it is expected to be rescheduled for is this autumn. The engagement pictures — taken by Princess Beatrice’s sister, Eugenie — were released last September. The one thing people couldn’t take their eyes off was the massive three-stone diamond engagement ring on her slender ring finger. Express.co.uk reveals all the details you need to know about the ring.
Back in September 2019, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo released a statement on their engagement through the palace press office.
It said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.
“We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

The engagement photos showed the pair lovingly embracing and looking into each other’s eyes, but the real star of the show was Princess Beatrice’s ring.
Not only is the ring absolutely huge, it also looks very familiar.
The ring looks very similar to the engagement ring of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Beatrice’s grandmother.
The Queen’s ring is made of platinum and presents a three-carat brilliant stone.
The engagement ring is also surrounded by smaller pavé-set diamonds.
Several of these diamonds came from Prince Philip’s mother Princess Alice’s tiara.
Princess Alice gifted the tiara as a wedding present to her son and his wife.
Prince Philip ordered the engagement ring to be made using these diamonds on proposing to the Queen.
The ring was made by a London jewellery firm, Philip Antrobus, in 1947.

How many carats is Princess Beatrice’s engagement ring?
The ring is made of diamonds set in platinum, just like the Queen’s.
However, Princess Beatrice’s centre stone is made of 3.5 carat diamond sourced from Botswana.
The band of the ring is also pave-set with diamonds.
The ring was made by British jeweler Shaun Leane, but fiancée Mozzi designed the ring “in close collaboration” with the jeweller.
How much did Princess Beatrice’s engagement ring cost?
Estimates of the Princess’s ring range anywhere from £50,000 to a staggering £300,000.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Tobias Kormind, managing director of 77Diamonds.com, said: “Princess Beatrice’s ring is a beautiful 3.5 carat round diamond, of medium quality, set in an art deco design, with tapered baguettes on each side of the centre stone. I would value this ring at £60,000.”
Shaun Leane said: “I am so honoured Edoardo chose to work with me to design the engagement ring for Princess Beatrice and to have been involved in this special moment in their lives.
“The bespoke experience was a beautiful journey; from imagining the design with Edoardo to the crafting of the finished rings.
“Being able to incorporate both Edoardo and Princess Beatrice’s characters into the design has resulted in a unique ring that represents their love and lives entwining.”
