Narcos Mexico cast: Who does Quavo play in Narcos? Does he play a real person?

Narcos: Mexico season two featured a cameo from series superfan and award-winning rapper Quavo as a drug supplier in California. Here’s everything you need to know about how the appearance came about and who he played in the actual Netflix series.

Who does Quavo play in Narcos: Mexico?

Fans of hip hop will know Quavo is an American rapper and singer who is best-known as part of the music trio Migos.

He is part of the band featuring his nephew Takeoff and cousin Offset, and he has also featured on songs like No Brainer and I’m the One.

However, music fans may not realise Quavo is also one of Narcos’ biggest fans, even creating a hit song after the series.

Therefore, viewers were thrilled when he turned up in the second season of Narcos: Mexico in a cameo role.

In episode Alea lacta Est, he plays a drug dealer named Quavo who introduced the Tijuana cartel to crack cocaine.

Enedina Arellano Félix (Mayra Hermosillo) proposes striking up a deal with him and his suppliers in order to expand their business opportunities.

He appears again later in the episode at a party where he refuses to smoke the crack cocaine the others do.

Some viewers have been wondering whether the character is based on a real person, as many of the other characters are in the show.

However, it seems like the role was purely fictional for the new series to allow Quavo to appear.

Showrunner Eric Newman explained to Entertainment Weekly how they managed to bring him into the series.

He said: “Those guys love the show, and I got to know their manager when they actually helped in the marketing of the last season because they just loved it so much, and they were like, ‘I want to be a part of this.’

“I said, ‘I wrote you a scene, would you come do it?’ And they’re like, ‘Yep, we would.’ And he showed up.”

What’s more, the episode was also supposed to feature Quavo’s Migos bandmates Offset and Takeoff as well but they didn’t turn up.

Newman explained: “Now, it was supposed to be all three of them, but the music world is a different business, and so only one of them showed up, and we’re like, ‘Cool, love it.’

“I would have kept him around forever. I would do a show with him. It was really fun.

“When you get into the business of making a TV show or movie, it’s boring, you’re like hanging around all day, but he was great and I’m excited about people discovering it when they watch.”

Susanna Reid fights back tears over heartbreaking death of 13-year-old coronavirus victim

SUSANNA Reid fought back tears on Good Morning Britain today over the heartbreaking death of a 13-year-old coronavirus victim.

Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab, from Brixton, South West London, was rushed to King's College Hospital in London after suffering breathing difficulties and his family said he passed away without his mum or six siblings by his side due – to the contagiousness of the disease.

Susanna, 49, who is a mother to three teenage boys, steadied her voice as it cracked with emotion while talking about Ismail's death.

She turned to ITV's resident medic Dr Hilary Jones and said: "Dr Hilary. I think the death of anyone from this is a tragedy.

"A death of a 13-year-old boy whose family couldn't be with him by his bedside, I think has just caused heartbreak among the whole nation and concern that this isn't just effecting those with underlying conditions it is now hitting children who are healthy."

And Dr Hilary replied: "It can effect anyone of any age and that's what we need to wake up to and that's why all of us need to adhere to the strict guidelines for people.

"We've not hit the peak yet, this is going to get worse before it gets better."

A hospital spokesman confirmed Ismail, who tested positive for COVID-19,  passed away on Monday.

A statement released on a GoFund Me page set to cover the cost of his funeral said: "Ismail started showing symptoms and had difficulties breathing and was admitted to Kings College Hospital.

"He was put on a ventilator and then put into an induced coma but sadly died yesterday morning.

"To our knowledge he had no underlying health conditions. We are beyond devastated."

Family friend Mark Stephenson, director at the Madinah College in Brixton, said the youngster had no underlying health conditions.

Later on GMB, Susanna then shared her anger over the lack of testing in the UK.

She was clearly seething when she said: "I hear the government say 'we are ramping up testing…'"

She added: "They have got to be honest and transparent and explain why these things are not happening rather than saying one thing at the podium when people in hospitals are experiencing something completely different."

The presenter added: "That is what gets in the way of trusting the government."

And Dr Hilary told viewers: "I think we were slow. South Korea acted quickly and efficiently. Here we reacted slow. There was a mass panic but then every other European country were ahead of us and ordering those (medical supplies) earlier."

Rick and Morty season 4 Netflix release date: Will the new series be on Netflix UK?

Rick and Morty season four has aired five episodes so far and has now confirmed its release date for the rest of the season. But some fans in the UK have been wondering when exactly it will be made available on Netflix as its previous outings have been. Here is everything which has been revealed so far about the return of the hit animated show.

Will Rick and Morty season 4 be on Netflix UK?

UK Netflix currently has three seasons of the popular animated series Rick and Morty available to stream.

Given season four of the series has now been announced, some fans have been wondering if it will be available to stream on Netflix as well.

The first five episodes of season four begun airing in the US on Adult Swim on November 10, 2019 at 11:30pm ET.

For fans in the UK, it seems viewers will have to wait a little longer to see the new series.

The new episodes will not be available to watch on Netflix like previous outings.

Instead, they will be released on Channel 4 as part of a new deal with Adult Swim.

Viewers will not need a subscription to watch Channel 4 but will need to have a TV license to watch the content live.

Channel 4 also aired the episodes and made previous ones available on the on demand service All 4.

Season four will feature 10 episodes in total and it has now been revealed the new series will conclude in May.

Speaking about the new episodes coming to Channel 4, director of programmes Ian Katz shared his excitement at the move.

He said: “Rick and Morty is one of the most anarchic, ingenious and original shows around and the breakthrough animated hit of recent years.

“I’m thrilled that it’s coming to Channel 4 and E4.”

The deal also lets UK viewers have access to and watch other Adult Swim shows including Robot Chicken and Samurai Jack.

What will happen in Rick and Morty season 4?

The latest outing is set to follow a similar pattern of precious seasons where brilliant but boozy scientist Rick (voiced by Justin Roiland) brings his nephew Morty (Roiland) on his adventures.

These frequently take the pair to other worlds and alternate dimensions, placing them in constant danger.

Alongside the major cast, creator Dan Harmon also told Entertainment Weekly that there will be a number of guest voice actors.

This includes Taika Waititi, Kathleen Turner, Sam Neill and Paul Giamatti who will all appear in season four.

Fans of the show will also be happy to know that the show was renewed for 70 further episodes by Adult Swim.

Harmon’s co-creator Roiland told Entertainment Weekly about the news: “We’re happy.

“It’s a lot of stories we want to tell, a lot to do, but it’s great. Job security like that does not come easy in this town.”

Rick and Morty will be returning soon to Adult Swim and Channel 4.

Little Women's Christy McGinity says it's been 'so hard' after newborn's tragic death as boyfriend leaves town for work

LITTLE Women: LA star Christy McGinity revealed her heartache at grieving over losing her two-week-old baby daughter earlier this month.

The reality television star spoke out for the first time since daughter Violet Eva died on March 23.

"Since our Sweet Violet passed away, it’s been so hard grieving over her. We have received so many heartfelt prayers, thoughts, flowers from all our friends and family. For that we are very thankful. 🙏🏼💜" she wrote on Monday.

She captioned a photo of the infant's 2-week-old baby feet.

Fans were quick to offer their condolences.

“Feels weird to say this about a stranger, but I really have been thinking about you so much. No one deserves what you’re going through. I wish I could bring her back to you. 😞 Hold onto each other,” one wrote.

“I am so sorry for your loss. May she rest in the arms of the angels,” another said.

“One day at a time. … All your feelings are OK for you to feel. Prayers to you,” said another.

Christy and her boyfriend, Gonzalo Justo Carazo, spent only two weeks with their little girl after she was born prematurely at 33 weeks – 7 weeks early weighing 3 pounds and 15 ounces.

She took a break from social media after sharing a video signing Violet's birth certificate.

Carazo, shared a statement with People: “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels", it read.

“We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”

The couple have not released any details about the cause of death, however, McGinity had a scary third trimester.

In February, she revealed on Instagram that she was having contractions and asked for prayers.

“She is not ready,” McGinity wrote at the time.

McGinity is also a mother to daughter Autumn and son Trenton from a previous marriage.

She revealed her additional heartache at this tragic time, as Gonzo headed back to his home state of New York on Tuesday, to return to work.

She wrote: “I’m super sad how life has turned out. Gonzo is on his way back home to New York. He works IT, in healthcare. My heart is ripped out! Gosh, how life sucks!”

In his own post, the new father also lamented leaving. “Heading back home to New York because of my job. I know lots of you are asking WHY I didn’t stay with Christy, but the truth is hospitals never close, and I work in the healthcare industry, so this is something I needed to do in order to keep my job,” he explained.

“[I had] been out [in San Diego, California for] over six weeks, and I’ve been here for Christy during this difficult past month, but then again my job and career is in NY!”

The couple were friends for over a decade before they started long-distance dating.

Westworld Season 3 Sees Ratings Increase For Episode 3, But They're Still Lower Than Usual

As of the episode 3 of Westworld season 3, the show still seems to be struggling to gain a live audience (that is, viewers who watch it when it airs on HBO Sunday nights), but the numbers were up slightly on last week. This episode has the second lowest ratings of the show yet, following last week’s lower-rated episode–which is, ultimately, good news.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the third episode of the season was viewed by 800,000 people when it aired on HBO on Sunday, March 29. That’s up from the 780,000 for episode 2, but down on the series premiere, which had 901,000 viewers.

Typically a season premiere will have a higher view count than subsequent episodes in a season, so these are not unusual figures, although there was some hope that Westworld’s viewership would rise, especially with so many people staying home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s also worth noting that these figures do not reflect the show’s full viewership, as many viewers may catch up with the show on HBO Go, or even with its eventual DVD and digital release. Live viewership has, historically, made up just a portion of the show’s audience.

Westworld season 3’s third episode had a lot of interesting stuff going on in it, and viewers who tuned in were given plenty to speculate on. The show has not yet been renewed for a fourth season.

Ryan Seacrest confirms American Idol will air full season using ‘new technology’ amid coronavirus production shutdowns – The Sun

RYAN Seacrest confirmed the full season of American Idol will air on ABC despite production shutting down for most of Hollywood during the coronavirus pandemic.

The live shows for the singing competition were expected to begin airing on Monday, April 6th but the network announced it will spread its remaining pre-taped episodes over multiple weeks instead of one to buy time.

Idol’s Hawaii showcase final episode that was originally scheduled to air last night will now broadcast on Sunday April 5th.

To continue filling the Idol void, ABC will run repeats of Celebrity Family Feud and the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? special on Monday April 6th.

On Sunday April 12 and Sunday April 19, ABC will air American Idol: This is Me, which will look at the lives of the Top 20 contestants with unseen footage and performance highlights.

The show’s longtime host, 45, told TMZ that despite the COVID-19 shutdowns, all of the scheduled programming will still “make it to air.”

He told the outlet while self-isolating in his New York home: “I’ve been doing the American Idol episodes.

“We have shot the auditions and we put what we call voiceover tracks onto those shows and I’ve been doing those voiceover tracks from home as well.

“So in terms of our productions and our programming, all is still making it to air,” he said of the season which includes judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

The radio and television personality continued: “With safety being the priority, that is #1, we do want to deliver all of this season. We want to put on these performance episodes.

“We want to put on the episodes that allow America to vote for their favorites to get to an American Idol winner this season. So, how are we going to do that?

"We haven’t fully decided. I think we see the obvious ways that people are using technology now on the air and on social media.

“I think we’re trying to push the limits of technology and explore any sort of technology that might be available to us to deliver the performance, to deliver the judges comments.

“And to deliver America being able to vote so we can make it through the entire season.

“I’m very hopeful we can do that actually,” Ryan optimistically concluded of the show’s future.

According to the outlet, an e-mail was sent to Idol staffers yesterday that announced the show had to abandon filming in its studio due to the ongoing virus outbreak.

“As we continue to monitor advice from federal and local agencies, it seems unlikely we are going to be able to make it back into the studio for this season of American Idol.

"We will continue to monitor and provide updates should any changes occur,” the e-mail concluded.
