Chase Hudson & Sydney Sweeney Star In Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Downfalls High’

Chase Hudson makes his acting debut in the new film Downfalls High!

The new visual is the directorial debut from Machine Gun Kelly, and features songs from his latest album Tickets To My Downfall.

Actress Sydney Sweeney also stars alongside Chase as the female love interest.

“I think [it’s] autobiographical in the sense of how his love for this girl who he loses is undying. I mean, that’s like a theme that movies don’t highlight at all,” MGK said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show. “They it’s always like, you know, someone becomes widowed and then that person like finds someone new. And like, that’s like that, that is the movie, right? Like they, or they fall out of love and fall into love with someone new. Mine is like, without you it’s death, right? Like I, without you, nothing is the same. And there is no like getting over that person.”

“I love how our lead who’s whose character name is Phoenix and the, and our other lead, her whose name is Scarlet. You know, when, when he loses Scarlet, he’s faced with temptation success and, you know, he’s young, he has the opportunity to get over this person, but he never does. And in that it drives him crazy,” MGK added. “That is, I just wanted to highlight themes that aren’t made in movies. I’m sick of seeing people like treat love like it’s trivial, right. That we can just move past it. Like, because if it’s real love, you can’t move past it and you shouldn’t move past it.”
