Gemma Atkinson, 35, has shared an adorable Instagram video of her and boyfriend Gorka Marquez’s baby daughter Mia looking less than impressed with the latter’s DIY adjustment to her play pen. After spotting the little one’s “fuming” reaction to the move, the former soap star issued an apology to her.

In a video, Gemma filmed Mia trying to figure out how to get out of her play pen after the Strictly Come Dancing professional sewed up the gap she used to crawl out of.

She asked the tot: “Are you fuming? Are you fuming because there’s no escape route now?

“Papa’s sewn you in, Papa’s sewn you in!”

Gemma then giggled and exclaimed, “Oh I’m sorry, I’m sorry”, as Mia kicked up a bit of a fuss over the change.

The radio presenter previously shared her shock over Gorka’s ability to sew, as she filmed him hard at work on Mia’s play pen.

She captioned the clip: “Over three years and I’ve only just found out he can sew!”

Gemma and Gorka welcomed Mia into the world in July last year.

The star recently opened up about what she hopes to do with her family once the coronavirus lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

Gemma shared her plans with a selection of photos of her and Gorka visiting Blackpool together.

The TV star wrote to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, divulging: “Say what you want about Blackpool but I bl***y love the place!

“Amazing childhood memories at the pleasure beach followed by fish & chips on the pier before driving through the illuminations.”

Gemma went on to recall: “I even did the ruff as hell night life once or twice (one of the funniest nights of my life actually that involved a hungover bungee swing off the south pier).

“Although I won’t be sampling the night life again there, I can’t wait to get back to the pleasure beach next summer and take Mia to see the illuminations,” Gemma explained.

“And of course, take her yearly to see her dad and his buddies in the Grand ballroom.”

The former soap star concluded her post by saying: “It’s the memories made that make a place wonderful…”

Elsewhere, Gemma issued Gorka a warning via an Instagram video after the dancer was left alone with Mia for “five minutes” last week.

The mother-of-one returned to find her daughter in a paddling pool, which was in their kitchen, and blurted out: “I leave him alone for five minutes, and I come back to a paddling pool in the kitchen! Oh, Mia.”

Gemma added: “And there’s something in there that you want me to get out of there? It’s a spider.”

While showing her followers the size of the tiny spider, she joked with the dancer: “Oh, I can see it. It’s a big one that Gorka. Oh, it is a big one.”

However, as Gemma was carrying the spider outside, the Strictly pro admitted he was going to try and kill it, to which she responded with: “What? If you try and kill it, I’ll kill you.”
