Hugh Jackman has become a well-known face of Hollywood having played Wolverine in the X-Men film series as well as appearing in the 2017 hit The Greatest Showman. But what is known of his marriage to wife Deborra-Lee Furness?
Who is Deborra-Lee Furness?
Deborra, like Hugh, is also an actor and had a successful career before she met Hugh. She has since become known as a producer.
She has appeared in films including Shame and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.
She also played Linda Fielding in the long-running Australian soap Neighbours.

However, it wasn’t until 1995 when Deborra met Hugh on the set of Australian TV series Corelli.
Corelli was Hugh’s breakthrough role with Deborra having already been an established actress.
On the series, Hugh played Kevin Jones with Deborra playing Louisa Corelli with the pair soon hitting it off.
Talking of how they first met The Greatest Showman actor said: “My first job out of drama school — it was a massive break for me. I was really scared.
“Deb, she was a big star. I get picked up, and Deb is in the front seat of the car. I’ll never forget.
“She took off her seatbelt, and she turned around and put out her hand and took off her sunglasses and said, ‘Hi, I’m Deborra-Lee Furness, nice to meet you.’ I remember thinking, ‘I like this girl’.”
The couple have an age gap of 13 years but Hugh has previously spoken of how age didn’t matter.
He said: “I’m literally the adult in the relationship.

“She’s just like a little kid. I’m the [one saying], ‘Babe, this is not a legal parking spot.’ ‘Oh, come on, Mr Goody-Goody.'”
A year after meeting Deborra and Hugh tied the knot in 1996 and have now been married nearly 25 years.
While appearing on the Today Show in 2018, Hugh spoke of how the couple are able to grow together in their careers as well as a couple.
He said: “I really think it helps that we were together before any of that.
“So we’ve been on this unbelievable journey, places we never thought we’d go to and we’ve done it together.”
Talking to People in March, Hugh admitted that after two decades together they are still learning within their relationship.
He said: “We’re always learning and humans change so you have to, even though we’ve been together 25 years, you gotta reset all the time.
“I’m always reeling in how funny she is and how amazing she is and how smart she is. The longer it goes on the better it gets.”
