Kerry Katonas body shuts down amid health battle
Atomic Kitten legend and columnist Kerry Katona has opened up about an ongoing health battle that has left her "bed bound".
The 42 year old says that her arthritis diagnosis triggers "severe pain" in her back and hips, and this week reached such a level that she was unable to get out of bed. Sign up – for free – to see what else Kerry has to say in her exclusive weekly column.

I’ve had a rare couple of days off work this week, but I’ve been bed bound. I’m in agony with my back and my hips – I have arthritis in my hips.
I’ve suffered with the pain for a long time, but it’s been worse over the past few days. It’s like my body knows I have time off work so it shuts down.
I think it’s because I’m always on the go and running off adrenaline. But it’s been nice to have a bit of a break, despite the pain. And as I write this, I’m preparing to celebrate the coronation weekend. It’s a moment of history.
Proud of Chloe
My friend Chloe Veitch has bravely come out as bisexual after taking part in E4’s series The Big Celebrity Detox.
We did the show together, and what an experience it was! I’ve known Chloe for a while and I’ve worked with her many times. She is such a lovely girl. I had no idea she was bisexual. I want her to be happy and to be in love with whoever she wants to be in love with.
Matt's brave to talk
Busted star Matt Willis has opened up about how his past drug addiction put a strain on his relationship with wife Emma, admitting he would “gaslight” her at the height of his addiction.
I think it’s really brave of Matt to speak out.
When it comes to my experience of drug addiction and how it affected my relationships my story is a bit different as most people around me were also doing drugs. And my children had no idea about my addiction.
When I think back to those days, it makes my stomach turn. I watched an old clip on YouTube recently from my TV show with Mark Croft, Crazy In Love. I didn’t recognise myself.
You can’t even understand what I’m saying, but that wasn’t the drugs, it was my bipolar medication. I was a different person back then and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
Mental health matters
Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up, from 15-21 May. As you know, I’m very open about my mental health and I think it’s important to speak out.
I’ve been struggling over the past week as I’ve been stuck in bed, and that gets me down. I like to be up and active. I haven’t been able to do any training, which has affected me massively.
The smallest things can trigger my mood – even the weather. There’s no shame in that and it’s good to encourage people to be honest about how they’re feeling.
It's a love story!
Following her split from Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift is said to be dating The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, the so of Loose Women presenter Denise Welch. Apparently she’s “madly in love”.
I think they make a nice couple. Imagine Denise as Taylor’s mother-in-law – she’d be bloody great!
I’m a big fan of Taylor, I think she’s brilliant and I love her songs and music videos.
I think she handles herself really well, especially that time Kanye West tried to steal her thunder when she accepted her award at the VMAs.
