Lip reader reveals Prince William’s ‘weird’ remark to Kate Middleton at Meghan and Harry’s final royal event

A lip reader has revealed the exact words Prince William mouthed to his wife Kate Middleton during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's final royal engagement in March this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared at the Commonwealth Day Service, sitting behind 36 year old Prince Harry's older brother and his wife.
Royal expert and author Robert Lacey recalled the day in his book Battle of Brothers, noting that Prince Harry and Prince William, 38, didn't appear to be making any effort to interact during the event.

He wrote: "Nor could it be said that the two royal brothers made any great personal efforts to 'chum up' together once they found themselves seated close."
Robert then confirmed the "longest coherent sentence that TV-watching lipreaders could work out" by Prince William, but explained that it had nothing to do with Harry or Meghan, 39.

He reportedly said: "This whole handshaking thing is weird. We're going to have to put a load of hand gel on after this."
The royal expert went on to reveal that the Sussexes, who recently unveiled a gorgeous new photo together in their California home, weren't actually included in the official procession into the Abbey as they were now technically "junior royals".
The pair had stepped down as senior members of the royal family and moved their life to Canada before later settling in Los Angeles with their one year old son Archie.

It means they would have had to find their seats with the rest of the guests and wait for their senior relatives to arrive during their final royal event.
Meghan and Harry were reportedly "extremely angry and upset" when they found out they weren't on the list, but William stepped into ensure they sat up front with him and Kate.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge planned to skip the formal entrance, too, so it didn't draw attention to Meghan and Harry's situation.

However, the order of services, which stated that William and Kate would arrive with the Queen, had already been printed – exposing a flaw in their plan.
Author Robert wrote: "So there was the snub in black and white – plainly set out for all to see."
