Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has spoken out about how her bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are coping as new mums.

Chatting on Ireland's The Strawberry Alarm Clock radio show, Jade, 28, revealed the pair are struggling to get sleep with their newborns and “don’t know sleep exists anymore”.

Jade said: “They have been saying that they just don't know sleep any more, they don't know sleep exists now – it's just gone.”

The Little Mix star also spoke of how she struggled to choose presents for her close pals.

She said: “You know what it's like – everyone gets them their clothes and all the same stuff, I'm sure they've got everything they could possibly need.”

Thankfully, fellow singer Ed Sheeran came to the rescue and helped her decide on the perfect gift.

Jade revealed: “He was telling me that when he had his baby, everyone always forgets about the mum and that they might need something too.

"I was like, that's really good advice. I think I'm going to get the girls something like an in-house spa day so they get a treat."

August was a big month for Little Mix babies as there were three new arrivals.

Perrie, 28, gave birth to her son, Axel, with footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on 21 August and announced the news on Instagram, as she shared adorable black and white snaps of their bundle of joy with fans.

Perrie wrote in the caption: "Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21" followed by a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, proud dad Alex, 28, shared the same photos of the adorable tot on his own Instagram page to share the happy news.

He wrote in the caption: "Welcome to the world little one [heart eye emoji] [red heart emoji] 21/08/21".

Just two days later her bandmate, Leigh-Anne, 29, revealed she had given birth to two babies, announcing the happy news on her Instagram, as she surprises fans with the news she'd had twins on 23 August.

Sharing a black and white photo of two sets of feet being held on her Instagram, Leigh-Anne wrote: "We asked for a miracle, we were given two… Our cubbies are here. 16/08/21."
