Love Island's Marcel Somerville confirms engagement to pregnant Rebecca Vieira

Love Island star Marcel Somerville is engaged to Rebecca Vieira, after popping the question at the gender reveal party of their baby.

How very sweet.

Oh, and by the way, they’re expecting a boy!

According to OK! Online, a source close to Marcel, 34, and Rebecca, 24, said: ‘Marcel didn’t tell anyone that he was going to propose, even his best friends. He did not tell anyone that he was planning it so it was a whole surprise for everyone.’

In a video obtained by the publication, the Blazin’ Squad rapper said: ‘It’s our gender reveal, we’re about to find out if we’re having a boy or a girl…’

At this point, blue confetti revealed the gender of their unborn child.

The dad-to-be then made it a double celebration as he got down on one knee and proposed.

The source added: ‘Rebecca cried and everyone at the party was crying, it was really emotional and every one was super happy.’

Rebeca also confirmed the news on her own Instagram Story, captioning a clip of her engagement ring with: ‘ISSA A BOY AND ISSA A WIFE’

In an interview with OK! earlier this year, Marcel said of his future-fiancèe: ‘A million per cent [I want to marry her].

‘I don’t want to give too much away, I’ve got certain plans. I know this is the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. There will definitely be wedding bells…’

The reality TV contestant and his new fiancèe announced they were expecting their first child in July.

Marcel was a contestant on the third series of Love Island. As a member of Blazin’ Squad, he is known for hits including Flip Reverse and Crossroads.
