Maya Jama, 25, responded to the Twitter reaction in view of her 498,700 followers, suggesting that their “concern” with her wardrobe is a form of “hyper sexualising” the female form. The presenter stated that she will in the future continue to dress as she feels fit, even if it leaves certain fans feeling “uncomfortable”.

Another mean spirited follower wrote that her body looked “ridiculously obese” on the programme.
The presenter did not hesitate to shame the troll as she hit back: “Please focus on your own vitamin intake.”
Fans flocked to the micro-blogging site as they defended the stunning star from the series of hurtful remarks.
One said: “Why is sh*t like this only ever said to girls with curves? I actually hate that I feel like I can’t wear a low cut top/dress because of it attracting attention. Someone without a chest could wear the same thing and no one would care. We shouldn’t care. Maya, you looked amazing!!”
Another replied: “I think what she is trying to say is that you’re a successful intelligent woman with your own mind on how to act and dress.”
A third commented: “Don’t pay any attention to these people. You can dress however you please & you don’t have to dress differently just to please others. You looked fab last night & I’ve enjoyed watching the last two shows x.”
It comes as Maya has been focusing on filming the new BBC One show following her split from rapper Stormzy and departure from BBC Radio One.
Stormzy and Maya were together for four years before their 2019 break-up, that happened shortly after the presenter’s 25th birthday.
