Noddy Holder pictured with BBC star hours after wife shared hidden cancer battle

Noddy Holder was all smiles as he joined his wife Suzan Price and BBC presenter Nick Owen for a sweet snap yesterday.

The heartwarming picture came just hours after Suzan revealed that he has been struggling with throat cancer for five years.

While doctors gave the Slade musician just six months to live when he was initially diagnosed, the 77-year-old has thankfully started a new trial of chemotherapy which has helped to keep him alive.

Suzan met Nick yesterday with her husband Noddy, as she gave an interview to the presenter about her husband’s health.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of them all grinning together in matching blue outfits in view of her 1,190 followers.

She captioned the picture: “I’ll be talking to lovely Nick Owen on BBC Midlands Today at 6.30pm today to reassure folk Noddy is doing well. Thank you.”

Noddy appeared to be in good spirits, as he posed in a patterned, navy blue denim shirt.

Nick also sported a dark blue shirt, while Suzan rocked a loose-fitting turquoise cardigan decorated with a white and pink bird print.

Fans and friends of the pair took to the comments section to share their support.

“Keep on rocking Nod take good care Suz,” wrote Scotty, while Richard added: “Good on you, Suz!”

Suzan announced Noddy’s diagnosis in Great British Life yesterday, writing: “Five years ago we were given the devastating news that he had oesophageal cancer and only had six months to live.

“I’m sorry if that comes as a bit of a shock; it came as a total bombshell to us too.

“We coped with it the only way we could, by hunkering down, sticking together and doing everything we could to survive it.

“We told only immediate close family and friends and I will never apologise to those we did not confide in, only to those who were forced to suffer pain and anguish alongside us as we attempted to navigate our way through this new and horrifying world.”

Suzan and Noddy married in 2004 and the pair share a son called Django. The Merry Xmas Everybody singer also shares daughters Jessica and Charisse with his ex-wife Leandra Russell, whom he was married to between 1976 and 1984.
