This Morning host Phillip Schofield celebrated his 58th birthday with a party on Zoom with his celebrity pals amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Holly Willoughby kicked off Wednesday’s This Morning by wishing her co-host and BFF Phillip Schofield a happy birthday.

It was then revealed that Phil was joined by his celebrity pals on a video call earlier that day to make his birthday special amid the pandemic.

Phillip was joined by Declan Donnelly, Leigh Francis, Emma Bunton, Christine Bleakley, Davina McCall, Holly and her husband Dan Baldwin for the virtual birthday party.

At the beginning of This Morning, Holly said: "First on the agenda… Happy Birthday Phil. Obviously the shops are shut so we're limited with what we can get you, but I do think you have the best birthday cake ever.

"You can't have candles on it because you can't blow them out."

Phil replied: "Thanks very much. It's a weird birthday, I'm lacking in hugs.

"I had a zoom party with my mates and that was really lovely, so thank you."

Before going on air, Holly wished Phil a happy birthday on her Instagram as she shared a gorgeous picture of them giggling outside Highclere Castle, which is where Downton Abbey was filmed.

The 39 year old wrote: “Happy Birthday to this gorgeous man… @schofe love you to bits….”

And Phil sweetly replied to the mum-of-three: “Thank you gorgeous.”

Just days ago, Phil celebrated his wife Stephanie’s 56th birthday during the isolation period.
