Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla are paying tribute to the essential workers who have continued to tirelessly work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sharing a new video on Instagram, the couple showed their support for postal workers who are working during such a difficult time to provide an essential service.

Charles and Camilla’s caption said, “Today, as many people—ourselves included—are obliged to stay at home, Royal Mail plays an absolutely vital role in keeping family and friends in touch with one another. For that, we can only say how deeply grateful we are and send you our kindest wishes.”

The caption continued, “The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have written to the 90,000 postal workers at @royalmailofficial, commending their ‘dedication, resilience and hard work’ during this challenging time.”

Charles and Camilla’s Clarence House account also revealed, “The letter was collected from Birkhall by Postman Neil, who has been working as a postman for 36 years and ensured its safe delivery to everyone at Royal Mail.”

Finally, the caption explained, “Postmen and Postwomen continue to work very hard across the UK in challenging conditions. People across the country have been showing their appreciation for their local postie, by joining the ‘Thumbs Up For Your Postie’ campaign, giving them a ‘thumbs up’ 👍—from a safe two metres distance.”
