Randy Travis Joins Josh Turner On ‘Forever And Ever, Amen’

Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis joined Josh Turner for a performance of Travis’ 1987 hit, “Forever And Ever, Amen” on “The Bobby Bones Show.”

Turner dropped by the show to promote his upcoming new album, Country State of Mind and was joined by Travis. A cover version of “Forever And Ever, Amen” featuring Travis appears on Turner’s new album.

“Forever And Ever, Amen” is co-written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz.

“Randy has always been my hero. He was the reason I wanted to become a country singer…” Turner said in a statement. “He’s an inspiring figure, not just to me but to a lot of people, so to have him sing on this record is pretty special.”

Country State of Mind, which drops on August 21, includes covers of several country music icons, including Travis, John Anderson, Johnny Cash, Vern Gosdin and Hank Williams.
