Real Housewives of Orange County’s Kara Keough shares heartbreaking picture cradling her son after his tragic death

Real Housewives of Orange County star Kara Keough’s son McCoy Casey Bosworth tragically died during childbirth on 6 April due to complications.

The 32 year old has now shared a heartbreaking black-and-white image of herself and husband Kyle Bosworth cradling their son after he died.

In the picture shared on her Instagram, Kara holds her baby boy on her chest and rests her palm on his head, while husband Kyle gently holds his son’s small hands.

In her caption of the poignant image, she wrote : “You would have been 3 weeks old today. You would be “waking up” and showing us more of you. I would be getting the hang of being a mom of two.

“My milk would be regulating to your schedule. Your sister would be asking questions about your belly button and you would have peed on her at least once by now.

“Daddy would be sending texts to his football buddies about how our giant baby boy could probably already out-lift them. We would be laughing that you never fit into newborn diapers, not even for one day. I’d be exhausted, leaking, and happy.

“Instead… we’re missing you. To all my fellow “instead” mamas…. thank you for reminding me that we’re not alone, and that we can survive this. He didn’t, but we have to. And we will.”

Her followers left messages of support and comfort in the comments section of her heartbreaking tribute to her son.

Earlier this month, Kara made the devastating announcement that her son had passed away during childbirth due to complications.

Sharing a photo of a fluffy cream-coloured blanket with her son's name written on it in bold green, she captioned it: "On April 6th, our son McCoy Casey Bosworth was born at 3:10am.

"Weighing in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces and spanning 21 inches, McCoy surprised us all with his size and strength (and overall perfection)."

Kara went on to detail the complications that took place as she said: "During the course of his birth, he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord.

"He joined our Heavenly Father and will live forever in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and those that received his life-saving gifts."

Kara and her 33 year old husband Kyle are also parents to their four year old daughter Decker. The reality star announced she was pregnant with her second child in October 2019 with a family photo on Instagram.

The loving mother continued by sharing a note she wrote for the organ and tissue procurement team in honour of her son McCoy as he becomes a life-saving donor.

She continued: "Tonight, we join together to honor this little savior’s gifts of life.
