Robbie Williams dresses up as Joe Exotic in Tiger King themed workout
Robbie Williams has worn some questionable things in his time but dressing up as Tiger King’s Joe Exotic takes the biscuit.
The Angels hitmaker joined his wife Ayda Field to give their social media followers some fitness tips while stuck in lockdown this week but with a twist.
Apparently, Robbie and Ayda binge-watched Netflix’s weird and wonderful documentary about controversial zoo keeper Joe Exotic and his rivalry with arch-nemesis Carol Baskins like the rest of us.
Almost literally transforming their Los Angeles home into the lion’s den, the couple hosted the workout session next to their child’s play pen with a stuffed lion toy nearby.
Robbie, 46, donned a pair of skimpy pants that were last seen in the music video for his 2000 hit single Rock DJ.
Only this time, they were teamed with a tie-dye vest, Stetson and cowboy boots as part of Robbie’s transformation into Joe Exotic.
‘Supermarket Sweat: The Tiger King Edition… Unleash your inner tiger with me and ‘Rob Exotica’ in this Netflix and Chill inspired workout,’ Ayda captioned the video with hashtags including #TigerTuesday and #TigerPants.
As Ayda, 40, continues her demonstration of exercises, Robbie marches along in his cowboy boots to – wait for it – Survivor’s classic Eye of the Tiger.
Whatever floats their boat!
Fans will be pleased to see Robbie with his energy back as the former Take That singer recently revealed he had suffered coronavirus symptoms.
The Candy hitmaker flew back to Los Angeles from an Australian trip last month but immediately went into self-isolation after falling ill. It meant he spent three weeks away from his family, including wife Ayda and their four children – Theodora, seven, Charlton, five, Collette, one, and six-week-old Beau.
Recalling his ordeal, Robbie told The Sun: ‘When I landed back in LA it was unusually cloudy and grey, and what with everything going on it did feel very apocalyptic.
‘I was in quarantine in an Airbnb down the road from my family and started worrying about food, about my medication running out, about Beau and my family, and was just very fearful for a couple of days.’
Robbie went on to explain how his body became ‘lethargic’ and he felt ‘tired and heavy’.
‘I convinced myself I’d got coronavirus,’ he stated.
