Ruth Langsford gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of her weight loss journey ahead of filming for the new series of Channel 5's Lose a Stone in 4 Weeks for Summer.
The This Morning presenter took to social media on Monday to detail her efforts for week seven of the intense Couch to 5K running challenge.
"It has been absolutely chucking it down. I was hoping it would get better so I could go for a run, but it's got worse. But I'm going anyways in the rain," the 60 year old said optimistically.
Ruth later shared a video of herself absolutely drenched but delivered the good news that she had successfully managed the arduous run.
"Oh that was hard!!! Not the most pleasant experience in the rain, although it does help to keep you cool!" she said.
"Last 5 mins were a killer for me today….but ploughed on and DID IT!! Good luck if you're running today too x x @couch_2_5k."
Ruth, who has mostly been a size 12 all her life, has been focusing on her fitness after revealing that her weight has fluctuated since entering menopause, aged 50.
Speaking about her weight, Ruth told Woman Magazine in 2019: "Eventually I went, 'Ruth, just admit it, you're now a size 14."
As well as undertaking the Couch to 5K challenge, the television personality has also been walking 10,000 steps per day and took up skipping during the first lockdown.
Ruth is undeniably hoping to look her best as she returns to host the Channel 5 show How To Lose a Stone.
During the show, four people are put on fad diets to see how much weight they can lose under the supervision of Dr Amir Khan.
The show was previously entitled How To Lose a Stone For Christmas.
However, the show has seen intense backlash for its extreme dieting methods, which saw one person surviving on 800 calories per day.
