Ahead of the live final of Strictly Come Dancing, Bill Bailey has revealed that his "legs stopped working" while in rehearsals.

The comedian, who has garnered support from his fellow competitors, said he was balancing on one knee when he fell onto his side as he was rehearsing with dance partner Oti Mabuse.

Writing in his Strictly Come Dancing column for The Telegraph, the 55 year old said: "The long day's training must have taken it out of me, and the result was, as I started to rise, stylishly, not domestically, my legs stopped working.

"I froze in mid-air, and slowly toppled over onto one side," he explained.

"It looked like I'd been hit by a tranquiliser dart, in order to be put on a flatbed truck and moved to a different part of the game reserve," Bill joked.

The actor is all set to battle it out in the finale on Saturday night, against fellow celebrities Maisie Smith, HRVY and Jamie Laing.

Bill's revelation comes after he flaunted his huge weight loss as a result of losing an incredible one and a half stone.

Oti took to Instagram to share a picture of her dance parter showing off his brand new body.
