After Steph confirmed this week The Steph Show would be taking a break from filming, Susanna addressed the shock news in her latest column.

Susanna told Daily Mail readers how she also found it “challenging” to film Good Morning Britain at home.

The TV star explained: “I’m not surprised Steph McGovern has called a halt to broadcasting her new show from home.

“It was challenging enough filming GMB for a few weeks — balancing my phone on books and trying to stop Suki the cat from jumping on my lap.”

She then went on to say: “It must have been a nightmare for Steph, having lights, cables and cameras cluttering up the home she shares with her partner and five-month-old baby.

“I bet her neighbours in Harrogate weren’t loving the commotion, either.”

Steph, who is best known for presenting BBC Breakfast until last year, confirmed the news on her Twitter page and revealed why it was “time to have a break”.

The host wrote to her 400,000 followers: “As much as I’ve loved doing a lockdown show at home I never expected it to go on this long.

“We’ve decided it’s time to have a break and give my family our home back.”

Steph then informed her viewers how the chat show will relaunch in Channel 4’s studio in Leeds once the coronavirus crisis has settled down.

She added: “The proper programme will be launching when the Leeds studio is sorted, I may still be wearing slippers.”

The TV star then announced in a follow-up: “The last locked down version of #TheStephShow will be next Thurs 7th May.
