Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga Hold Family Gathering for Dad’s Memorial Amid Social Distancing
The ‘RHONJ’ star takes to her Instagram account to share a video taken from the funeral, which is also attended by her four daughters, Gia, Melania, Gabriella and Audrina.
AceShowbiz -“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice ignores the stay at home order during Coronavirus pandemic for her dad’s funeral. The TV star and brother Joe Gorga held a family gathering for a heartfelt goodbye tribute for Giacinto Gorga, who passsed away on Friday, April 3.
“Despite the social distancing orders, it was really important for them to all come together and celebrate Nonno as a family,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “It’s such unfortunate timing, but the family really all wanted to be together and couldn’t imagine being apart.”
Teresa took to her Instagram account to share a video taken from the event, which was also attended by her four daughters, Gia, Melania, Gabriella and Audrina, whom he shared with estranged husband Joe Giudice. There was also Teresa’s brother Joe and Melissa Gorga‘s three kids Antonia, Gino and Joey.
They were all dressed in black. They gathered around two decorated baskets before releasing doves while Andrea Bocelli‘s “Con Te Partiro” was played in the background.
“Teresa and Joe had been seeing each other at the hospital before their dad actually passed even during social distancing. They didn’t want him to be alone. The kids and everyone else had been apart since Melissa has been in quarantine with her family,” the insider explained.
“The plan is for the family to have something in the future to honor Nonno. It’ll be in New Jersey when the coronavirus pandemic is over and it’s safe so everyone can celebrate his life. So many of Teresa’s friends had a relationship with her father and loved him,” continued the source. “It’s been hard being apart from so many people during this time and she’s thankful to have her daughters. Everybody is doing the best they can and it’s all day by day.”
Teresa shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram that her father passed away from an unrelated case to COVID-19 at the age of 76, writing, “My father, my protector, my hero, God took you early this morning to be with mommy, I saw you peacefully pass & I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I,” she wrote in an accompanying caption.
