The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco sells luxury mansion at huge loss

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has sold her luxurious Californian home at a huge loss after a year on the market.

The 34-year-old first listed her gated Mediterranean-style villa for $6.9million (£5.6m) in May last year.

She had to cut the price by over $2million after three months, but it was only bought once the price hit $2.9million (£2.4m), much less than the original price.

The star once showed off the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home’s chic aesthetic in a book called The New Glamour, written by her designer Jeff Andrews.

He had also previously decorated for Khloe Kardashian.

Kaley said: ‘I fell in love with the house but also everything that came with it. The interior decoration, the furniture, the art — I wanted it all!

The nearly 8,000-square-foot home also boasts a movie theatre, a huge chef’s kitchen, living and dining rooms and a lavish master suite with three walk-in closets.

Because two just isn’t enough.

The actress had kept a few items and bits of furniture that Khloe left behind, but added many horse-related trinkets to make the villa feel like ‘home’.

‘All the horse touches in the house make it feel like home,’ Kaley told People.

Both Kaley and her husband Karl Cook have started something new and moved in together after two years of marriage.

The happy couple have been living apart since tying the knot in June 2018 due to their busy work schedules which meant they were always travelling.

But now she and Karl have cut the ribbon on their new property and moved into their Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago.

Before boarding a flight to LA, Kaley told her Instagram followers: ‘I get to fly home…and I get to walk into my new house and meet Karl there, meet the dogs there, live in our house, cook in our house.’

‘I feel really blessed and lucky that we get to go home and have this time together and move in and enjoy our brand new home together.’
