Toby Keith Drops New Single ‘What’s Up Cuz’

Country music star Toby Keith recently released “What’s Up Cuz,” a pretty short, upbeat single.

Toby co-wrote the song with longtime collaborator Bobby Pinson. Through his song, Keith urges fans to kick back and lean into a “two-beer buzz.”

“Uncle Doug made a jug or two of his famous homemade ‘shine / Goes down so sweet and smooth / He calls it apple pie,” Toby sings in the second verse. He later sings, “I’m on to drown my sorrow with all my good-time friends / Then I’ll wake up tomorrow and do it all again.”

The song is his first single since “That’s Country Bro,” which came out in 2019. In October 2019, he released Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years, a compilation of some new and previously unreleased tracks.

Keith’s last studio album was 35 MPH Town, released in 2015.
He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame that year.

The singer is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of his chart-topping hit, “How Do You Like Me?”
