Former singer Victoria Beckham, 47, has attempted to soften her recent comments and insisted that Justin Bieber is “loved” by the Beckham clan. It comes after she said she “would rather die” than wear a new gift from the Canadian singer.

Victoria, who found fame as one-fifth of the Spice Girls, yesterday thanked Justin, 27, after he chose to send her a pair of lilac Crocs from his collaboration with the brand, but didn’t appear too keen to throw them on.

Despite initially being perplexed by the choice of footwear, the mum-of-four admitted that she was grateful for Justin reaching out to her.

Had Mrs Beckham chose to purchase the once questionable shoes, she would have paid around £43 for the Drew House collection.

However, just one day after publicly laughing about the item, the fashion designer has attempted to make him feel better.

Known for her sensational wardrobe choices, Victoria is never seen in anything but a swanky outfit and a pair of killer heels, but she left the decision for her latest shoes to her Instagram followers.

Taking to her Stories, the Spice Up Your Life songstress asked her 28.9 million followers whether she will be wearing lilac Crocs when the world emerges from lockdown.

Much to Victoria’s shock, a staggering 43 per cent of her fans had voted yes, while a further 57 per cent said no.

After seeing the results, the star re-shared the poll alongside the caption: “Well that was close! I think I’d rather die but thank you anyway @justinbieber.”

Appearing to feel guilty for her bombshell comment, Victoria went on to share a screenshot of Justin’s advertisement for the collection alongside the caption: “The Beckhams still love you @justinbieber!”

Yesterday, Victoria burst into fits of laughter as she shared various clips of the shoes with her fans.

She penned: “A lot of people have been asking me what I’m planning on wearing after lockdown… what do we think about this suggestion from @justinbieber?!”

Brooklyn Beckham’s mum later went on to share a video of the Crocs while saying: “OK, this is so kind of Justin to send me some Crocs.

“Erm, never worn a pair of Crocs, they did make me laugh – it is the thought that counts, thank you so much.”

She went on to say: “I’m not quite so sure what to say about this but thank you, it’s very sweet,” before erupting into laughter.

Famed for her killer heels, Victoria sent the fashion world into meltdown when she revealed that she would one day be stepping out of her stilettos and instead slipping into a pair of flat shoes.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the superstar admitted that her love for high heels has taken its toll on her.

“I just can’t do heels any more at least not when I’m working, I travel a lot, clothes have to be simple and comfortable,” she revealed.

Just days after her bombshell revelation, Victoria was seen around Central London rocking gym attire and a pair of trainers before later being snapped in a pair of heels.

Speaking on the now axed morning show, GMTV in 2008, Victoria revealed that she would love to attend the gym but couldn’t quite get into the mindset due to the footwear.

“I just can’t concentrate in flats, I could go to the gym if I wore flats, I’d love to go to the gym, but I just can’t get my head around the footwear.”
