MORNING ARSENAL FANS,
It might be a Saturday without live sport, but there's plenty of transfer talk to keep you entertained.
Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.
Reports have claimed the 26-year-old will leave the Spanish side this summer and could be available for as little as£26million.
And the Gunners now look more likely to sign Gent striker Jonathan David.
The 20-year-old has admitted he “would love to play” in the Premier League despite interest from Barcelona.
But it's not all good news for Mikel Arteta's men.
Chelsea have stepped ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign former Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
But for all of the Premier League clubs, the biggest news of the week is that the league will not return in May due to coronavirus fears.
Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney lifted the lift on life at Arsenal during a Q&A session with fans on Friday night.
He revealed he was most blown away by young Brazil striker Gabriel Martinelli during his first few training sessions with the club.
WORK OF ART
Arsenal are reportedly “working hard” to sign Real Madrid youngster Cesar Gelabert.
Defensa Central report that Mikel Arteta is determined to lure the 19-year-old to North London.
And AS claim Arteta “closely followed” the rising star when he played against Chelsea and Tottenaham in the youth league.
But Borussia Dortmund and Lyon are also said to be keen on the attacking midfielder.
ON YOUR MARTS…
During a Q&A session with fans, Kieran Tierney was asked which player he was most blown away by during his first few training sessions with Arsenal.
He replied: “Gabriel Martinelli. When I first did a full training session with the team I was put up against him and the intensity of his play was honestly mind-blowing.
“I thought to myself, 'this is the standard I need to be at to play for Arsenal'.”
Andre Santos has lifted the lid on why he moved to Arsenal from Fenerbahce in 2011.
He told Turkish newspaper Haberturk: “Arsene Wenger caled me and said he has been following me since my days at Corinthians and the national team.
“After that, I've made my mind up and I decided to join Arsenal with a heavy heart.
“I thought this would be a perfect experience for me, playing in the biggest league in football and one of the best teams in England isn't always possible for a footballer.
“So I decided to take the chance.”
TIER WE GO
Kieran Tierney was asked what his favourite thing about London was during a Q&A with his fans.
He replied: “Just playing for Arsenal.
“I didn't move to Arsenal to live in London.
“I came here to London so I could play for Arsenal.”
