  • GOOD MORNING CHELSEA FANS

Declan Rice is pushing for a transfer to Chelsea, according to reports.

But West Ham are insistent they will not sell the England star.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers vice-captain is keen to get a move back to Chelsea.

There is a suggestion that Rice's agent is already in negotiations with the Stamford Bridge club over a potential move with the two clubs close to beginning talks.

However, SunSport understands there still has been no official bid put in from any club for the Three Lions international as of yet.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly lining up a shock bid for Chelsea vice-captain Jorginho.

Sky Sports claim the midfield playmaker, 28, has emerged as an alternative to Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey.

Arsenal are now believed to be weighing up an audacious approach after already landing Willian on a free transfer from their capital rivals.

However, Lampard sees Jorginho as an important part of his squad.

In other news, Barcelona are reportedly lining up a surprise swoop for Chelsea outcast Antonio Rudiger.

The defender is said to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge having failed to make an appearance in the early weeks of the season.

German publication Kicker and Spanish newspaper Sport both believe Barcelona have Rudiger in their sights.

  • ED IN THE GAME

Chelsea new boy Edouard Mendy has revealed his lifelong love for the Blues.

Speaking on the club website, the goalkeeper said: “I've been a Chelsea supporter since I was little. I adore this club.

“When I was 12 I had the chance with a past club I played for to go to Brighton, and we watched a match.

“I thought English football was amazing.

“We went into shop and I saw the Chelsea shirt, this was about 2003 when Ranieri was the manager, and I brought this shirt. So I've always liked this club.”

  • EXCLUSIVE

Chelsea are ready to send gaffe-prone Kepa out on loan – after landing Rennes keeper Edouard Mendy as their new first-choice.

Stamford Bridge legend Petr Cech, who himself joined the Blues from the French club, was key in identifying the Senegalese 28-year-old as the new Chelsea gloveman.

And while Chelsea insisted no decision has yet been taken on Kepa’s future, it is understood that Frank Lampard will assent to the Spaniard leaving on loan before next month’s deadline.

Kepa, 25, has struggled to live up to the world record £71m fee Chelsea paid Athletic Bilbao to land him as Thibaut Courtois’ replacement in 2018.

He fell out of favour last term after a series of high-profile errors before the lockdown.

  • FEELING BLUE

Chelsea's squad do not have much time to reminisce over their stunning midweek win.

It's straight back to business for Frank Lampard's side ahead of this weekend's fixture.

The Blues will take on West Brom this Saturday – with kick-off at 5:30pm.

  • HAV A LOOK

Kai Havertz was the star of the show for Chelsea as they thumped Barnsley 6-0 on Wednesday.

The talented 21-year-old proved his potential as he chipped in with a hat-trick.

He thrived after being deployed in the No10 position for the Blues.

Chelsea have now used a heatmap to show the impact he made in and around the 18-yard box.

  • DEC DECIDE

Declan Rice is pushing for a transfer to Chelsea, according to reports.

But West Ham are insistent they will not sell the England star.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers vice-captain is keen to get a move back to Chelsea.

There is a suggestion that Rice's agent is already in negotiations with the Stamford Bridge club over a potential move with the two clubs close to beginning talks.

However, SunSport understands there still has been no official bid put in from any club for the Three Lions international as of yet.

  • NOT A KEEPER

Chelsea have reportedly received a loan offer for Kepa Arrizabalaga from a club in Italy.

Football insider ExWHYemployee, as cited by the Express, revealed Chelsea have the chance to offload the struggling star.

He tweeted: “Chelsea news: A club from Italy has submitted a loan move for Kepa.

“Although it is not confirmed, the club is thought to be Roma.”

Kepa added another howler to his tally as he gifted Sadio Mane his goal during the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.

And his No1 spot is in doubt following the arrival of Edouard Mendy.

  • CHEEKY TIME

Southampton are interested in signing in Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to talkSPORT.

The Saints want the 24-year-old as a replacement for former captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

He has fallen out-of-favour under the management of Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

Dean Smith's Aston Villa side are also in the running to sign him.

  • ON THE MEND

Edouard Mendy's arrival will not pressurise Kepa Arrizabalaga because he isn't a household name, claimed John Barnes.

Before Mendy sealed his switch to Stamford Bridge, Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “With the new goalkeeper [Mendy] expected to join Chelsea this week, this won't put too much pressure on Kepa for the number one spot.

“Edouard Mendy isn't exactly a household name that a lot of people know about so he will immediately be under pressure if they put him straight in.

“If Chelsea were to sign Jan Oblak or Manuel Neuer, they can put him in straightaway and if he makes a mistake, fans would let it slide as they know he is a top goalkeeper.”

  • FEELING BLUE

David James has claimed that Kepa has been “hung out to dry” by Chelsea.

The former goalkeeper told talkSport: “I don't think Kepa's had the protection at Chelsea, I think he's been hung out to dry.

“If he doesn't do something right, it's wrong and he gets absolutely lambasted by everybody.

“In the end you have to look at yourself to see what you can do, but it's also about whether you've got the environment.”

  • SWIPE RIGHT?

Long before dating, marriage and kids, everyone has their first love… football.

And with dating apps all the rage, it's sometimes tough to hide that first love from potential partners.

Whether sharing a snap from inside a stadium, wearing your club's kit in a picture or even mentioning your avid fandom in your bio, it's easy for would-be suitors to find out who you support.

And apparently, fans of certain clubs have more luck with the opposite sex than others, according to a study by compare.bet.

    Let's take a look…

  • LOFTY AMBITION

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is wanted by as many as EIGHT clubs – including West Ham and Aston Villa, according to reports.

The 24-year-old midfielder has fallen way down Frank Lampard's pecking order and is said to be considering his future.

Loftus-Cheek, who has been left out of Lampard's past two matchday squads, is being targeted by clubs at home and abroad, say The Telegraph.

Dean Smith's Villa side have shown a keen interest – and are also looking at Loftus-Cheek's team-mate Ross Barkley.

But West Ham would give Loftus-Cheek an opportunity to stay in London.

  • JOR DROP

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a shock bid for Chelsea vice-captain Jorginho.

Sky Sports claim the midfield playmaker, 28, has emerged as an alternative to Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey.

Jorginho has scored ten goals in 100 games for Chelsea following a £50million move from Napoli in 2018.

But his association with former boss Maurizio Sarri has seen him divide opinion amongst Blues supporters.

  • MOST VALUABLE SQUADS

Liverpool have the highest-valued squad in the world, but Bayern Munich are only sixth.

    Chelsea, meanwhile, are in fourth.

Here is a list of how all the world's biggest clubs fall on a table of squad value.

  • BY JORG

Arsenal are weighing up a bid for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to reports.

Mikel Arteta has so far struggled to get either Houssem Aouar or Thomas Partey through the door.

The Spaniard sees a defensive midfielder as the key cog in finally getting to play 4-3-3.

Jorginho appears to be down the pecking order at Chelsea, with Frank Lampard preferring N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic in midfield.

And he could follow the Blue exodus to the Emirates, much like David Luiz and Willian.

Sky Sports claim the Italian international is on the list of top Arsenal targets.

  • MORE ON RUDIGER

Barcelona are reportedly lining up a surprise swoop for Chelsea outcast Antonio Rudiger.

The defender is said to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge having failed to make an appearance in the early weeks of the season.

And, with Frank Lampard admitting the player could soon leave, reports have emerged of a possible destination.

German publication Kicker and Spanish newspaper Sport both believe Barcelona have Rudiger in their sights.

The centre-back, 27, is seen as an alternative to Manchester City starlet Eric Garcia, who wants to return to Spain.

  • CESAR'S PALACE

Cesar Azpilicueta seems pleased with Chelsea's progress to the next round in the Carabao Cup.

He also listed the goalscorers in a tweet from last night's win over Barnsley.

The Spaniard nearly ran out of characters!

  • NEED FOR RUD AWAKENING?

Frank Lampard provided a brief update on the future of Antonio Rudiger after speculation the centre-back could be sold.

Rudiger, 27, was left out of the squad triggering suspicion the German defender could be a player to make way for all the new signings.

Barcelona are reported to be interested in him.

Lampard said: “Don't read too much into team selections at the moment.”

  • ED'S IN THE RIGHT PLACE

Marina Granovskaia reckons Petr Cech has pulled a blinder by pinpointing Edouard Mendy as his chosen recruit as goalkeeper.

The Chelsea director, who handles most transfer and contract negotiations, said: “As soon as Petr Cech and our technical team identified Edouard as the most suitable goalkeeper to complement our existing group, there was only one player we wanted to bring in.

“Edouard arrives following a season of real success with Rennes, he is ambitious for more, and we welcome him to our club.”

  • MORE ON MENDY

Edouard Mendy’s announcement comes after a rocky start to the season for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Significantly, Chelsea have said that he will COMPETE with Kepa and Willy Caballero for a starting place.

A club statement said: “The Senegalese international has penned a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge and will compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero for a starting spot between the posts in the season ahead.”

Mendy said: “I am so excited to be joining Chelsea.

“It’s a dream for me to be a part of this exciting squad and to work with Frank Lampard and all of his coaching staff.

“I look forward to meeting my team-mates and can’t wait to get started.”

  • BREAKING

Chelsea have announced the signing of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.

  • HE DID O-KAI

Here are Kai Havertz's numbers from last night.

What a performance from the 21-year-old.

  • VILLA EYE BLUES DUO

Aston Villa are weighing up a shock loan move for either Ross Barkley or Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Chelsea duo will struggle to make Frank Lampard's starting XI this season with Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount ahead of them in the pecking order.

Now, according to The Telegraph, Villa boss Dean Smith is set to make his move.

Barkley is reportedly the top target, but Chelsea want any prospective club to pay in full his £120,000-a-week wages.

It's not understood whether the Blues expect the same kind of deal for Loftus-Cheek, who signed a new five-year contract earlier this year on a reported £150,000-a-week including bonuses.

  • GOOD MORNING BLUES FANS

Chelsea cruised into the fifth round of the Carabao Cup with an emphatic 6-0 win over Barnsley at Stamford Bridge last night.

Defenders Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell both made their debuts under Frank Lampard.

But it was Kai Havertz who stole the show with a brilliant hat-trick.

Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud also netted to set up a potential fifth round clash against fierce rivals Spurs and former boss Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Edouard Mendy has reportedly signed his contract to become a Chelsea player.

Mohamed Bouhafsi claims a deal for the Rennes goalkeeper is finally done.

And the Blues will confirm Mendy’s £22million switch today.

Finally, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly closing in on a deal for Antonio Rudiger.

The German was left out of last night’s squad after being axed for the Liverpool defeat too.

And with just two years remaining on his Chelsea contract, Rudiger is looking for a way out ahead of next summer’s Euros.

Chelsea Chronicle claims PSG are keen to sign him as a replacement for Thiago Silva, who moved to west London on a free transfer this summer.
