Adam Sandler’s ‘Hubie Halloween’ honors late co-star Cameron Boyce

Adam Sandler honored his late “Grown Ups” co-star, Cameron Boyce, in his new Netflix movie, “Hubie Halloween.”

As the ending credits scroll, a photo of Boyce and an emotional tribute pop up on the screen.

“In loving memory of Cameron Boyce,” the message reads. “Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day.”

Boyce was supposed to appear in “Hubie Halloween” but was replaced by his friend Karan Brar after his death.

Boyce played Sandler’s son in the “Grown Ups” franchise. The Disney Channel “Descendants” star died in July 2019 at age 20 from an epileptic seizure in his sleep. After his passing, Sandler paid tribute to Boyce on Twitter.

“Too young. Too sweet. Too funny,” Sandler, 54, wrote. “Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world.”

Sandler also thanked Boyce for “all you gave to us.”

“So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences,” Sander concluded.
