Bayern star Kingsley Coman shown straight red card in 95th minute for slapping Arsenal defender Mavropanos in face

KINGSLEY COMAN was red carded yesterday for slapping Konstantinos Mavropanos in the face.

The Bayern Munich ace took exception to a late challenge by Stuttgart's on-loan Arsenal defender.

With the score level at 2-2, Mavropanos came in late on Coman as the Frenchman was passing the ball.

As both men got back to their feet, Coman turned around and slapped his opponent in the face.

After a quick glance at the referee, Mavropanos threw himself to the turf.

Coman, 25, immediately knew his fate, already walking off the pitch without complaint before the referee had even brandished his red card.

Miraculously recovered by this point, Mavropanos had a pop at Coman as he walked off the field, being performatively held back by team-mates.

As he reached the touchline, the winger appeared to hold his hands up in apology towards coach Julian Nagelsmann.

The Bayern boss wasn't upset by the incident.

He said after the game: "Kingsley has apologised.

Bayern had gone 1-0 down to their underdog opponents, when Tiago Tomas fired an eighth minute opener for Stuttgart.

The reigning champions turned the game on its head before half-time, however, courtesy of goals by Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller.

Sasa Kalajdzic equalised on 52 minutes, with the match going on to finish 2-2.

After the game Bayern were awarded the Bundesliga trophy, marking their tenth title in a row.
