Blizzard Offers a Deep Dive Into 'World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic'

Blizzard has finally announced a Burning Crusade expansion for its World of Warcraft Classic over at Blizzcon 2021.

As expected, the new release mirrors much of the original version that first launched back in 2017, allowing players to venture through the Dark Portal into Outland, the homeworld of the Orcs. On top of a whole new environment to explore, the expansion also introduces a whole range of new content, including the two playable races, Blood Elves and Draenei, fresh instances and raids against Illidan and his legion, flying mounts you can ride in Outland, additional PvP arenas, a jewel crafting profession, and an extended level cap of 70.

For diehard fans of World of Warcraft, Blizzard says that the Burning Crusade Classic expansion will be arriving later this year, after a prelaunch beta that should be opening up pretty soon. As it did with WoW Classic, the new expansion will also be released in phases, so players will have to be patient for late-game content. You can learn more about the new additions to the game from the video above or over on its website.

Elsewhere in gaming, Street Fighter‘s Ryu and Chun-Li are joining Fortnite.
