Crystal Palace next manager odds: Graham Potter price slashed with Hodgson future still unknown, Van Nistelrooy 33/1 | The Sun

CRYSTAL PALACE are still undecided on who will be their next permanent manager.

Veteran boss Roy Hodgson comfortably steered the Eagles away from relegation on a short-term contract following the sacking of Patrick Vieira in March.

The 75-year-old's deal will expire in the coming weeks, and he's still waiting to hear whether Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish wants him to stay on for a further 12 months.

Though he's remained tight-lipped, the Evening Standard claim Hodgson would be prepared to stay for another year if asked.

However, Parish is assessing his options and Hodgson still has "no idea" whether or not he'll be at Selhurst Park for the 2023-23 campaign.

He said: "I have no idea. My situation is very simple: I took on a job, I was pleased to take on the job.

"I'm not prepared to make any comment like that," he added when asked if he wanted to stay. "Before I start talking about whether I want to stay anywhere or take on any jobs, someone better offer me one."

Bookies Betfair certainly fancy Hodgson to hang around and have priced the Englishman as the 8/11 favourite.

There's been a rush of money for former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter, who is now available at 4/1.

French publication Foot Mercato claim Crystal Palace are eager to lure Potter to south London, but are locked in a battle with Ligue 1 outfit Nice.

Brendan Rodgers is considered best of the rest at 6/1, ahead of Rafa Benitez (10/1) and Ralph Hasenhuttl (12/1).

Michael Carrick and Celtic's Ange Postecoglou are locked together at 14/1, although the latter has been tipped to take the vacant position at Tottenham.

Nuno Espirito Santo, who was interviewed for the role before Vieira was appointed, is further behind at 16s.
