The beauty world is brimming with clever hair tools these days. From Primark’s bargain curler to Dyson’s damage-reducing straighteners, now more than ever shoppers are experimenting with new hairstyles and parting with their cash for the latest gadget.
And one clever device that’s gained a lot of attention recently is the Beauty Works X Molly-Mae Waver, £89.99 here – a collaboration between the popular hair extensions brand and Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague.
Famous for creating big mermaid-like waves in no time at all, it’s no wonder that the easy-to-use gadget has proven to be a big hit with beauty fans – but not everyone is able to splash out on the latest craze.

That’s why, when one bargain hunter shared that she had discovered a dupe for the best-selling waver, we were all ears.
Posting to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one happy shopper shared her excitement when she picked up the Toni & Guy Deep Barrel Waver in her local Asda store for just £18, claiming that the affordable dupe gives similar results to the Beauty Works version.
“I wanted the Molly-Mae wavers but couldn't afford them,” she says.

“These wavers do just as good.”
The shopper shared a snap of her gorgeous mermaid-inspired waves to the Facebook group – and her fellow bargain hunters were amazed with the results.
“Wow, your hair looks amazing,” one member commented.

“I’m nipping to Asda for these,” another wrote.
Raking in almost 700 likes, excited shoppers flooded to the comment section to tag their friends and family to hint at potential Christmas gifts.
“You asked what I wanted for Christmas, now I’ve seen something lol,” one shopper said, tagging her friend.
When asked how the waver fares on shorter hair, the woman who discovered the bargain tool responded, “My friend has shorter hair and it looks fab.”
