Despite almost everyone having a high-quality camera (in the form of a smartphone) with them these days, GoPro still has a niche in the market thanks to its rugged build and stabilisation software.

In recent years, shoppers have been able to get a decent discount on the action tech in the month of November and we're expecting more of the same in 2023.

When is Black Friday 2023?

Black Friday is on November 24 this year, as ever, it falls the day after Thanksgiving in the US.

Given that the shopping holiday is exactly one month before Christmas, it's a perfect way to kickstart your Christmas shopping.

Is GoPro taking part in Black Friday this year?

GoPro has taken part in Black Friday sales in recent years, with some bargains even making an appearance before Black Friday last year in 2022.

There are also a number of third-party retailers that stock GoPro, so no doubt you'll be able to find a discount somewhere during the sale period.

What to expect from GoPro's Black Friday sale 2023

In recent years GoPro has focused its Black Friday promotions on bundles and sign-ups to its subscription service, so there might be some similar offerings this year.

Select offers on the GoPro website will come with a free one-year subscription, but we expect the price to drop or the subscription time to increase around the sale season.

However, as we've already mentioned, you'll probably be able to find a deal on most of GoPro's key products at big retailers, such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Very and more.

When is Cyber Monday 2023 and is GoPro taking part?

This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 27, which follows Black Friday.

While it used to focus on online deals, these days it's pretty much a continuation of the existing Black Friday deals.

As GoPro regularly takes part in Black Friday offerings, we'd be surprised if they didn't have a deal or two running for Cyber Monday.

Can I use a GoPro as a webcam?

Yes, your new GoPro can be used as a webcam.

All you need is the camera, the USB-C cord (which comes included), a mount, and the GoPro Webcam Desktop Utility software.

Are all GoPros waterproof?

Yes, all the current models of GoPro (Hero9, Hero8 and Max) are waterproof.

The Max is waterproof up to 5 metres (16 feet), whereas the Hero models are waterproof to 10 metres (33 feet).

If you're planning to go into water any deeper than this, then your camera will require an additional waterproof case.

Does GoPro offer any other discounts?

GoPro offers a big 25% discount to adventure-seeking students via Unidays.

There are discounts and voucher codes available elsewhere too, including retailer-specific voucher codes which could apply to GoPro products.

How much does shipping from GoPro cost?

Customers shopping on GoPro's own site can expect free standard shipping on orders over £50.

If your order is below £50, you'll need to pay a £5 delivery fee, there's also an Express delivery service, which costs £10.

GoPro also offers free returns on orders to the UK, the EU and other countries including Norway and Switzerland.
