Here's a Detailed Look at Converse's Chuck Taylor All Star Crater Knit

Like Nike and its “Move to Zero” releases, Converse has also hopped on the sustainability train with its “Renew” initiatives. Seen in years past through styles such as the Chuck 70 Tri Panel Denim capsule as well as through a collaboration with Carhartt WIP, the One Star brand is now further increasing its output with the newest Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Crater Knit.

As indicated by its namesake, this latest offering is essentially a Chuck All-Star but remodeled with earthy-friendly materials. The highly breathable stretch knit uppers are manufactured from least 50% recycled content, and come with 100% recycled materialized knit pull tabs, interior liners and rubber toe caps. And if that wasn’t enough sustainable materials, Converse also structures the laces with 100% recycled polyester and slide in eco-friendly OrthoLite insoles.

Underneath, the midsoles and outsoles are molded into one piece, all of which feature the scrappy, multi-colored aesthetic that is oft-seen on the Swoosh’s Space Hippie line. Two colorways are involved in this launch including a “Limestone Grey/Storm Wind”, as well as a “White/Egret/Barely Volt”.

Both options are set to launch on March 19, 2021 via Converse and will each retail for $110 USD a pop.

In case you missed it, Slam Jam and Converse have unveiled an outdoors-inspired collection.
