Hungarian Grand Prix LIVE: Latest updates from F1 race today as Lewis Hamilton starts from pole

Follow the latest updates live from the Hungarian Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton starts from pole position in his quest to make it back-to-back wins this season.

The third race of the rearranged 2020 season sees the Hungaroring take centre stage in what could be the first Grand Prix to be impacted by weather, with rain in the air in Budapest and already impacting the morning’s support races. Rain may be the best chance of the rest of the grid challenging Hamilton though, with the reigning world champion dominating the weekend so far as he seeks a record-equalling eighth victory in Hungary.

For the first time this season the two Mercedes start on the front row of the grid, with the Racing Points’ of Lance Stroll and Sergio behind them in third and fourth ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc in the two Ferraris. The race is due to get underway at 2:10pm BST, with live lap-by-lap updates below.
