A frequent flyer has revealed she enthusiastically switches seats with other passengers – and it often gets her a better spot. 

Talia Lakritz often flies solo and has revealed she is always willing to trade seats with fellow passengers while traveling. 

Her confession comes after the topic of airplane etiquette – specifically, the debate surrounding seat switching – was brought to a fever pitch when a pharmacist revealed she refused to give up her place so that a mom and her teen could sit together while traveling. 

However, the New York-based traveler said she was on the complete opposite side of the spectrum as she always hoped a fellow passenger would ask her to trade seats.

Speaking to Insider, she said: ‘I usually don’t mind switching seats, and sometimes, it even leads to a better spot.’ 

Talia explained that when she was traveling, she saw a couple go to separate rows. 

She noted that one of them was seated next to her so she offered to switch so the lovebirds could sit together. 

Talia said that not only did her offer put her in the good graces of her fellow passengers but it also landed her a better seat. 

She was sitting in a middle seat, but after she switched, she was able to get comfortable in an aisle seat.

‘I’ve scored an exit row because the flight crew needed more volunteers, or seats closer to the front of the plane because a family wanted to sit together,’ the frequent flyer said. 

She explained that although plane-seat etiquette had become a hot-button issue, she didn’t mind trading spots if she was traveling solo and the flight wasn’t too long. 

However, Talia noted that if she had paid for a seat, she wouldn’t offer to switch.

She told the outlet: ‘I would probably decline to switch if I paid extra for an aisle seat and someone asked me to move to a middle or window, but so far, I haven’t had to.’ 

Talia’s confession comes just one week after a passenger was praised online after refusing to give up her first-class seat for a woman who wanted to sit closer to her teen.

Dr. Sabra, a TikTok creator and pharmacist, racked up almost 10 million views after she shared her elated reaction to the confrontation.

The short clip, captioned: ‘POV: Flight agent asks me if I want to give up my 1A seat so a child sits with their family,’ saw her grinning from ear to ear after denying the mom.

The denial comes months after one man sparked furious debate when he refused to give up his first-class seat for his boss, despite using his own credit card points to do so.

In the past, DailyMail.com’s Jaci Stephen even offered up her view, and confessed that she ‘absolutely refuses’ to swap seats, no matter how angry the passenger requesting to switch may get.
