Recently, she has been in a much better place.
She had started to expand her social life, attending courses and meeting people.
She had met a boy at college who seemed really nice, too.
However, now coronavirus is here, all her social events have been cancelled and she is starting to feel isolated again.
I worry that her depression will return.
I’m 41 and I want my daughter to be safe but I don’t want her to feel lonely.
DEIDRE SAYS: Suggest she set up a WhatsApp group with a small number of friends she feels comfortable with and can trust.
That usually feels less competitive than larger-scale social media.
