John Oliver doubts the royal family will ever change.

The British-born comedian says the monarchy is “refusing to evolve” because tradition is its bread an butter — and he’s unsure even a shock like Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s bombshell Oprah interview will make a difference.

“It’s hard to say, isn’t it?” Oliver said Monday night on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“Because the royal family, its whole selling point is that it doesn’t change. That was kind of the point of it over centuries, that times come and go, governments rise and fall, but the royal family will always be there, unyielding. The stiff upper lip that doesn’t wobble. So, that’s their selling point.”

The “Last Week Tonight” host — who went viral last week with an old clip from a 2018 interview in which he predicted trouble for Meghan before her wedding — said he believes that the royals should modernize.

“As years go by, you realize that not changing is not entirely a good thing,” he told Fallon. “Because that means the times might be changing around you, and you are refusing to evolve. So I don’t think they will change because I don’t think they have the capacity to. But they obviously should.”

He admitted to not finding any of Markle’s claims “surprising.”

“That was kind of what I felt, sadly, her experience was going to be going in because, you know, I grew up, I know the royal family from a distance and they seemed like flawed people,” he added. “That’s literally the kindest way I can possibly put it.”

The resurfaced 2018 video of Oliver warning Markle about the family she’d be marrying into on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert made headlines last week.

“I would not blame her if she pulled out of this at the last minute,” Oliver told Colbert during the, appearance which took place three months before the Sussexes’ royal wedding.

“I don’t think you need to have just seen the pilot episode of ‘The Crown’ to get a basic sense of she might be marrying into a family that could cause her some emotional complications,” he continued.

When Colbert said to Oliver, “But this generation seems like nice people, right, they’re all nice now, right?,” Oliver replied guardedly: “Yeah …”

“They’re an emotionally stunted group of fundamentally flawed people doing a very silly pseudo-job,” Oliver continued. “That’s what she’s marrying into. So, I hope she likes it, it’s going to be weird for her.”

Oliver also mentioned on Monday that he believes one member of the Royal Family is thrilled to bits by the media maelstrom caused by Markle and Prince Harry — Prince Andrew.

Pretending to be the disgraced royal who is accused of being involved in a sex-trafficking ring with Jeffrey Epstein, Oliver said as the Prince talking to other members of the family: “Can you believe what Meghan did? Can you believe her? Dragging this family’s name into disrepute, shaming us? She’s ruined our reputation! She has, am I, right guys?!”
