Johnny Manziel vouches for strip-club wings that landed Lou Williams in quarantine

Lou Williams isn’t the only athlete giving Magic City’s menu a thumbs-up.

Over the weekend, the Los Angeles Clippers guard began a 10-day quarantine after visiting an Atlanta gentleman’s lounge, hours away from the NBA bubble in Orlando. With Williams set to miss the first two games of the league’s restart, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel believes he has some insight into Williams’ decision-making.

“Believe it or not, the chicken wings at Magic City are the best I’ve ever had,” Manziel responded Sunday to a tweet about Williams.

Williams had an excused absence to leave the Orlando bubble, according to The Athletic, and picked up food at the Atlanta establishment. The 33-year-old was seen in an Instagram story on rapper Jack Harlow’s feed, appearing to wear an NBA mask while at the strip club.

Harlow deleted the clip and tweeted, “That was an old pic of me and Lou.”

The final day of quarantine for Williams is next Monday, Aug. 3.

As for Manziel, the one-time Browns quarterback regularly garnered headlines for his off-field antics during his two-year stint in the NFL. In early 2018, the 27-year-old spoke candidly about his bipolar diagnosis and substance abuse troubles.

He last played in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football league and appears to be coming to grips with his football days being behind him.
