Morrisons offers 10% discount to people working in 30 jobs – check out the full list

MORRISONS is offering a 10% discount on groceries to people in 30 different jobs, ranging from the army to social care workers.

The supermarket has rolled out the discount to all workers with a Blue Light Card to thank them for their hard work during the coronavirus crisis.

The move follows the 10% discount already offered by Morrisons to NHS workers, teachers and other school staff across the country.

The Blue Light Card offers exclusive discounts on the high street as well as deals on holidays, days out and insurance.

Eligible workers include people employed in the emergency services, care workers, armed forces as well as certain volunteers – we've added the full list below.

Card holders can claim the 10% discount on their groceries by presenting their card at the till in any of Morrisons' stores, valid until January 3, 2021.

Which workers will get the 10% discount?

MORRISONS has rolled out the 10% discount to workers and volunteers with a Blue Light Card, which is available for people in the below roles:

Sadly, Morrisons has confirmed the discount isn't available online.

If you don't already have a Blue Light Card, keep in mind that a physical card costs £4.99 for two years.

While you can register for free online but you’ll need to prove your profession to qualify for the card.

If you're keen to get a Blue Light Card, just be aware that the £4.99 fee will eat into any savings you make with the 10% discount.

But it can work out cheaper in the long run if you're already a regular Morrisons shopper.

And if you've already got a Blue Light Card, remember to always compare prices to make sure what you're buying isn't cheaper elsewhere.

The discount at Morrisons isn't valid on a wide range of products, including fuel, tobacco, infant formula and stamps.

It also excludes spirits bought in England and any booze purchased in Scotland and Wales.

As part of the Blue Light Card deal, cardholders will also get early access to Morrisons stores between 6am-7am Monday to Saturday before shops open to other customers.

The dedicated shopping hour is the same already offered to NHS workers and school staff.

In April, many retailers rolled out freebies and discounts for NHS staff.
