Mum’s razor blade cleaning hack removes soap scum in matter of seconds

A mum has shared her genius cleaning hack which deals with soapy shower door scum in seconds.

All the mum-of-two uses to get rid of the nasty layer of grime is a razor!

The woman said that as she had an illness she can’t clean as much as she’d prefer as it can cause pain.

So, while she was grateful that her husband had been cooking and cleaning, she said the bathroom was not his forte.

This meant her shower door had built up a fairly heavy layer of soap scum.

Having seen someone else recommend the strip, she decided to give it a go herself.

The mum was blown away by what happened.

The razor scraped the scum straight off.

It might take you a little time to get the whole door complete, but it’s far less effort that scrubbing!

The mum shared her top on a Facebook cleaning group where thousands gave it the thumbs up.

She said: “I’ve been on this group for quite some time which my husband thinks is hilarious 'cause I’ve been quite unwell for over four years now and cleaning is really just about the last thing on my mind.

“One of my problems is that I am unable to do repetitive movements for too long without terrible pain.

“Hubby is absolutely fabulous cooking, washing and vacuuming but the bathroom has never really been his thing.

“Needless to say our shower screen has not had a really good clean for quite sometime.”

She continued: “The other day one of the other members posted about using a razor scraper for soap grime.

“Just by chance I had bought one a few weeks ago to remove some glue from something else so this morning I thought I’d just give it a little try.

“OMG. An hour later and I have scraped all the built up soap scum off.

“I kept telling myself that I’d just do one more little bit but I couldn’t help myself – I just kept going.

“I’m now flat out on the lounge with a cup of tea dreading how I’m going to feel tomorrow but I can’t wait to see what it’s like once I wipe it all down.”

Others mums loved the trick.

One person said: “I’ve sent hubby to buy one today. So excited.”

“I need to try this,” commented another.

A third wrote: “Don’t use soap just use body wash and the build up won’t be so bad.”
