‘Running to win’: Daniel Andrews declares he’ll fight in 2022 election
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says he is ready to fight at the next state election, after releasing a video where his wife Catherine said she believed he was going to die after he broke his spine.
Ahead of his return to work on Monday – his first time back in the top job since he fractured a vertebra and broke six ribs in a fall on March 9 – Mr Andrews posted a four-minute long video explaining how the accident happened.
He reiterated his desire to stay as Premier and fight at the next Victorian election planned for 2022, declaring he is “running and running to win”.
“I’m on the ballot next year. I’m running and I’m running to win,” he said. “There’s unfinished business and I’m determined to get it done.”
More to come.
