Tekla Will Open Its First Store in Copenhagen
Tekla is almost ready to cut the ribbon on its first retail store in Copenhagen. Opening on April 22 in the Denmark capital, the 2,152-square-foot outpost will house a curated range of the brand’s top products and store-specific exclusives, including boxers, T-shirts and sleep masks.
Located on Vognmagergade, where Tekla was born in 2017, the store intends to provide visitors with an elevated entrance into the brand’s universe. Known for its high-end homeware and sleepwear, the label’s fresh facade looks to recreate the sensation of being at home, with a set-up that “appeals to the sense through product tactility, custom soundscape and a signature room scent,” according to Fashion United.
In a statement, Charlie Hedin, founder and creative director of Tekla, said, “Tekla has always been inspired by architecture and beautiful design, so it was natural for this to inform the concept of the store. The resulting space brings elements of Tekla together with historical references and the rituals of home, all with a warm atmosphere that feels like a true representation of Tekla.”
Kristoffer Juhl, Tekla’s co-founder and managing director, added, “After launching with a digital-first approach, we are beyond excited to launch our first store. This milestone marks six years of experience, which we’ve drawn upon to create a concept that we believe will delight our community. We look forward to the opportunities this new space will bring, especially with our international customers.”
Notably, Tekla’s Copenhagen store will offer private appointments for shoppers with Tekla consultants. Take a look inside the outpost in the gallery above.
