Tess Daly’s style transformation from model to Strictly Come Dancing fashion queen
With the Strictly Come Dancing final just under a month away, yes only a MONTH, we’ve been looking back at all her amazing gowns that have graced our screens over the past few years and Tess Daly has particularly wowed us with her outfit choices this year.
Throughout Tess’ career, she’s excelled as a model, novelist and television presenter in which she has presented Strictly Come Dancing since 2004. She really has come a long way with her style and this season of the show has by far been her most stylish thanks to her stylist James Yardley who dresses the star for all appearances.
We take a look back at her transformation over the years…
Model days 1990
The soon-to-be model was scouted outside of a McDonald’s restaurant funnily enough. Tess Daly who’s birth name is actually Helen Daly, had to reconsider her name due to another model already renowned for the same name.
Just six weeks after turning 18, she took on her first modelling job in Tokyo and continued to be a part of many successful projects. We’re not too sure on her red top, but we’re sure it was a must have look at the time.
Wedding Bells – 2003
She met her now husband Vernon Kay back in 2001 while presenting on Channel 4’s T4 together and two years later they were married and are still going strong to this day.
How young do they look in their wedding pictures? Tess opted for an embellished A-line strapless dress by Marina Adanou for the special occasion. She completed her look with a long veil and sparkling tiara and a pair of Jimmy Choo’s – she really did look stunning.
Two become Three – 2004
It was only last month the star was reminiscing about her first pregnancy carrying Phoebe. In a sweet snap, the star captioned: “Flashback to these young things! Who would have thought I was pregnant with my eldest who's 17 in a few weeks! Time flies," she remarked. She really did have that pregnancy glow and worked her bump with style.
