Trevor Lawrence’s wife Marissa Mowry: QB ‘so excited’ to join Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence and wife Marissa Mowry are Jacksonville-bound.

On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Lawrence first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, with the former Clemson quarterback celebrating at home with his nearest and dearest, including his new wife.

“So excited to be a JAG!!” Mowry gushed Thursday night on her Instagram story, sharing a photo of Lawrence the moment he learned his NFL destiny.

“A call I’ll never forget,” Lawrence shared on social media. “Officially headed to the sunshine state.”

Lawrence has had an eventful few weeks leading up to this year’s draft. After checking out the Masters in early April, he and Mowry later swapped vows at a chapel in South Carolina.

“My love forever,” Mowry posted to Instagram at the time.

Ahead of the draft, Jaguars fans showered Lawrence and Mowry, both 21, with wedding gifts, which the 6-foot-6 athlete later expressed his gratitude for.

“Thank you Jaguars fans. We really appreciate the wedding gifts and donations for charities of our choice! In addition to the donations, Marissa and I will also be donating $20K to charities in Jacksonville,” Lawrence tweeted this month.

“Thanks again, we hope to be a part of your community soon,” he continued.

In the days leading up to the draft, Lawrence played Instagram husband for Mowry, as the couple enjoyed a scenic day date.
